Crystalyte 5304 rear, Ping lifepo4 30a 48v and Infineon 30a 48v controller and Specialized Hard Rock bike. The battery is mounted in a Bikes At Work trailer do to weight.

  7. grogtgs says:

what bike do you have ?

  8. steeevo55 says:

A little expensive, but cool. I currently use an elektroskate skateboard it’s small, lithium powered and light, goes 25mph and good for 20 miles. I use it every day to and from the train.

  9. AwesomeAlvin says:

6 miles is probally the biggest down size

  10. wongthong7 says:

With that kind of price, I can build a better bike faster and last longer!!!

  11. Kouranen says:

as for price big deal there are ordinary 10 speeds that cost as much

  12. Kouranen says:

teehee everyone commenting on 6 miles when everyone should now by now that electronic devices tend to progress, y know 6 miles today 60 tomorrow

  13. jtmjtm2001 says:

One more thing I can haul two average shopping carts size of groceries with my bike trailer. Only one bad thing about my bike I can’t fold it and take it on a choochoo.

  14. jtmjtm2001 says:

YIKES! $4000 to $5000 clams and 6 miles? Not for me! Mine can go up to 30mph and up to 40+ on a charge and cost a lot less.

  15. mikedamat says:

I’m going to get a much cheeper bicycle that can go a lot longer then 6 miles.

  16. BadPaddy2 says:

Truly an ode to human imagination!

    Dear swearing.,
When making a comment it is easy to show over subjectivity.
    .
This device is probably most likely for the physically disabled individual and the fellow with reduced mobility or degeneratibe disease.
    .
Such products are not marketed as such because to do so would offend the disabled in the first instance.

    Cheers.
    from,
    del-boy.

  18. NeutralPlanet says:

Only 6 miles?! If your journey is 4 miles to work and 4 back it won’t be worth it. You would have to live in a very small city. I believe this should be marketed in Japan or China.

  19. ZoroasterIII says:

What about down- or uphill, bridges? Looks dangerous to me.

  20. NNeraida says:

    …it’s an electric bike

  21. swearingej says:

A bike that propels itself? Kinda like buying a guitar that plays itself… What’s the point?

  22. captaincavemaaaannn says:

You can’t take a segway on the tube or store it under your desk at work. Large wheel at the front will handle potholes ever ridden a trail bike? The bigger the front wheel the easier it handles over ruff stuff.

  23. nerdstalkertv says:

Would have had potential but 5k price is going to kill this can you say segway? I’d love to see someone go off a curb or down a San Francisco hill or pothole in this.

  24. ahagadol says:

Also few people can affort to buy a BIKE for 5000$.

  25. baldes says:

Few people working a lot on it for develope 4600$….
