I have a crystalyte sparrow brushed motor for by bike and i think the brushes are worn out because my electric bike isnt working. How do you open the motor and take out the brushes. Can you do it yourself or is there a place to go to do it. And how much does it cost. Also is it possible to wear out a brushed motor if it was only used for 3 months 100 hours total. Thanks

As far as the wear, it depends on the quality of the brushes. As far as repair, contact your local bike shop.

I’ll bet this saves you afew $,,,Take the motor off the bike. Then take the motor to a vacuum cleaner repair shop,no kidding! Brushes are brushes (carbon). They’ll fix’er the same as any l’il elec. motor. Good Luck =^ )
