@mattrix2007
you can, but it wont help much..
For all those who say electric bikes are for wusses or lazy people, why don’t you remove the motor from your car, punch a hole in the floor and use your legs to propel your car.
how long does it take to recharge when completely dead
too many wires…
Nice helmet…
Did you check e-bay? Mine came straight from China. They shipped it USA.
Some e-bike motor kits have regenerative braking–not mine. This puts charge back to the battery during braking like hybrid cars do.
is there any way you can use the rotation of both wheels to put charge back into the battery?
@Grazell you might wanna get some disk brakes on that thing, your vees will wear down very quickly
@Grazell lol Brilliant comeback, Grazell.
i want 1 just dont now where to get kit as ours in the UK
how many miles you can do with fully charged batteries?
@Grazell I don’t own a car and probably will never own a car. I don’t need a car. I can travel anywhere I like without a car. Bicycles are meant to be pedaled and not to have motors on them(although at some point when your extreamley exhausted a motor may help). That’s what I’m saying.
It’s a lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4, or LFP) battery. It uses LiFePO4 as a cathode material.
A hub motor installation is easy. Give it a try. I’ll send you the parts list if you’re interested.
The hardest part was evenly spreading the rear forks to accommodate a slightly wider wheel. I used a car jack placed between the forks to accomplish this.
Are engines for wusses too? I suppose you don’t own a car.
This makes me wish I could do this. I’ve got a schwinn that’s dying to be converted. You guys make it look so easy!
@Grazell ‘Im not lance..and I am a fast rider(av.18.5mph). Motors are for wusses that can’t pedal for long distances.
Ok Lance.
Yes. Golden Motor.
That hub motor from Golden Motor in China?
warlockboyburns :I have the same setup but with sla batteries-they are far too heavyto ride safely because of the wobble so I am going to build a small trailer to carry the batteries and get them off the carry rack-perhaps it will be safer then.
(BTW 4 x 12v 18ah sla’s weigh about 60-80 lb.)
i believe its called li-po
it seems pretty cool, but for the money i could by a old dirt bike in running condition. which IMO would be more fun.
how much runtime do you get with that pack?
but twice as heavy…. i should mention
