I have a Walmart Curry 26″ Mens Trailz. The price has gone up a lot in the last 2 years because the Chinese are keeping most of them for themselves. They are giving up cars because of the cost of oil.

It’s much cheaper and safer to buy the complete bike from Walmart than to do a conversion on your own. The bike frame and suspension have to handle the extra weight. With 2 batteries, mine weighs 100 pounds.

It works without pedaling for maybe 15 miles on flat ground if you don’t push it hard. Battery life goes way down if you have a lead foot. Doesn’t require a license in Florida where I live.

I have an electric bike, an E-Zip. It’s okay, and quite fast. The problem is the charging. If you’re going to pay the $600 plus I see in the price list or more, I think you’ll do better to buy a gas-powered motor scooter. Simply because a gallon of gas should last about 100 miles or better.

The advertised distance for an electric scooter is some 22 miles, but I rarely get more than five miles to a charge. Also, a gas powered scooter is more powerful and you won’t use up battery power if using lights or carrying an extra load.

I’ve used an electric scooter before and I didn’t like it. No, I don’t know anyone who owns an electric bike. I’ve never even heard of an electric bike.
