How do you make a dirt bike electric start, if it doesn’t already have a battery?

    You sell it and buy an electric start one.

    Bolt ons will be more expensive, and more hassle that the cost of changing.

    It won’t make economic sense to add an electric starter, nor will adding weight to your bike help.

    If you cannot manage the kickstart, an alternative might be to make and use a stationary motor like racebikes use to bump-start – not much help if you stall and can’t start half-way through the trip.

    Kits are available for many popular models (such as the Honda XR650R or the Suzuki DR650). But many of the smaller bore bikes 400cc may not have a kit available. It depends on what bike you have that you want to install a starter to.

    Do a search for electric starter kits for the bike of your model to see if one is even available. If there isn’t one, your out of luck.
