I recently bought a Sansi Electric bike in Shanghai. Does anyone knows how to remove the speed governor?

This is a Sansi electric-bike. I can not understand the manual since all are written in Chinese characters. I am a foreigner living in Shanghai.

  1. M V says:

Jamming a golf tee in the mechanism works for golf carts..maybe try that?

  2. duh says:

Many ebikes do not have an actual ‘governer’.

its just the fastest that combination of gears, motor and batteries will go at top speed.

See if one of your local Chinese bilingual techno buddies can do some translation for you. might cost you lunch.

you want to know about Brushed vs brushless motor, motor and battery voltage, wattages, etc.

    good luck
