Is a Road Touring bike right for you?

From a technical point of view it is possible to adapt any bike into a bike that is for road touring for short journeys, but if you are considering a longer tour, you are better off getting a bike that is designed for such a thing, a road touring bicycle is made to be able to carry the extra weight of load panniers that you will need to take for the journey.
If you want to do a lot of long distance tours then getting a road touring bike is the best idea. Touring bikes are strong but also light enough to take the extra weight needed for a long tour. Your bike needs to have all the essential items that you will need so you can be self sufficient on the road, particularly if you are going to an isolated area.
A road touring bike is made just for this purpose. It will be able to take the extra weight while at the same time giving you a good speed while you are travelling.
A racing bike looks very similar to a classic touring bike but there are a few subtle differences. One thing that is different for example is the frame, built with regard to comfort rather then speed, if you are going to be riding your bike for weeks , even months, comfort is very important. A bike that is for touring sacrifices speed for comfort. But if you are touring and not racing the sacrifice is definitely worth it.
A bicycle that is good for road tours is going to have heavy duty tires to prevent punctures and the wheels are going to be stronger to cope with different road surfaces and the weight of laden panniers and whatever you may have with you. The nature of touring will mean you will have to carry a lot of equipment, everything you need will have to fit on the bike. A bicycle made for road touring will have fittings for panniers over the back wheel as well as over the front wheel. You can also attach a lot of small bags to your bike, such as a small saddblebag carrying a basic tool kit and map cases over the handlebars. Mudguards are essentially needed on a road touring bike. These small additions are much needed with a good touring bike, and they will keep you dry when you come across rain or wet roads. You may find yourself having to get across dirt tracks and that’s when the mudguards will come into good use.
Touring bikes are designed to make sure that the load you carry is distributed evenly over the bike so that it stays balanced and that a particular stress is not put on any one part of the bike. The sort of road touring bike you invest in depends on how much touring you have in mind. If you are just planning on a few small weekend tours then a hybrid bike with fittings for panniers would be quite allright. If a long tour is what you have in mind, covering between 60 to 100 miles a day, for a few weeks, then you need to get yourself a good quality road touring bike.

Ride the Aloha Way with Makai Bikes Coupon Codes
I have fond memories of bicycles – and a very bitter one, too. When I was a child I had a green customized mountain bike (the seat of which was too high for me) that became the object of envy of many kids in our neighborhood. One afternoon, I left the bike outside our front door and went inside the house to get myself some orange juice. The next minute my bike was gone. Now, I am about to put all that childhood bitterness behind.

Trampoline Safety and injuries
Trampolines are basically comprised of a frame, usually of steel, over which a strong fabric is stretched taut, using many coiled springs. People use trampolines by bouncing on the strong, taut fabric, which is commonly referred to as the “trampoline bed” or the “bounce mat.” The elasticity that facilitates bouncing on a trampoline is not the result of the fabric itself. Instead, this elasticity is the result of the many springs that connect the fabric to the support frame.
