  6. rock3tcat says:

    What’s the use of this? If you’re too lazy to peddle go on and buy a moped for that money… -_-’

    were can i get the battery pack set up
    i have a 48 volt bike kit that uses lead acid and when its fully charged the volt metter reads 52 volts so i need a litho set up so i can go up hills with ease

    @DocLow – Yes, you have to get a crystilyte controller, they have a function that will put power back into the batteries when you use the brakes! I think it’s called regenerative braking. It uses the motor windings to help slow you down and at the same time generate electricity, you could probably pedal through this function but I think it would probably be very hard.

    you guys talking about economy… You realise there -are- different types of batteries that can hold a charge longer, right? Technology in batteries is progressing quickly now (if you notice laptops)… Longer distance = higher quality + more battieries (has nothing to do with the bike or motor)

  14. laurasIs2c says:

    Looks great and thanks for posting. Can you tell me if when you peddle the battaries get a bit of charge or does it depend on being charged by an outlet.

    Nice work. I use my road bike quite a lot and the mountain bike for quick trips to the store or a friends place. I’ll bet if I had one of these I could still get a workout by pedaling and just use the battery for a little bit of a power/speed boost to get there quicker! I think this is a fantastic option.
    All you naysayers out there that are complaining about the mileage, howabout getting off your keesters and pedaling a bit… that just might help don’t you think! :-)

    I like the trash bag blowing by at the end…kinda sums up the whole video.

    @rellirTnoraa1
    I see.
    They do sell extra battery packs though. Why not buy two battery packs and swap them when one runs out? You can build a battery compartment on the side of the bike.

  20. rellirTnoraa1 says:

    @Charles2337 I ride my bike 36 miles a day, so for some people 20 miles is not enough

  21. howardb42006 says:

    Very Nice. Love the Acceleration ! Can you imagine if everyone rode these. what a quiet, clean air World we would live in…ahhhh

  22. vxmmxv says:

    I have this exact bike but without the electric motor and it only weighs about 28Lbs. so 50Lbs is a HUGE difference. Plus i can already do 30MPH on the street by just pedaling.
    The electric motor is a cool design and idea but its not practical.

  23. organichealthycoffee says:

    I used to ride my bike 20 miles a day for exercise. If I wanted something to take me to and from work it would have to go a heck of alot farther than 20 miles per charge. It’s a nice toy but not very economical.

  24. Charles2337 says:

    @organichealthycoffee
    It’s a bicycle. 20 miles is more than enough.

  25. organichealthycoffee says:

    Too much money for the very short distance it will take you per charge. Not worth it.
