People For Bikes: If I Ride
We all ride for our own reasons, but we all want the same thing: a better future for bicycling. If you want a better future for biking, sign the pledge at www.peopleforbikes.org. It only takes a minute. “If I Ride” is a bicycle rider’s poem to biking. Our goal is to gather a million names of support, to speak with one, powerful voice—to make bicycling safer, more convenient and appealing for everyone. Simply put, we believe that life is far more enjoyable when its experienced on two wheels. We believe that by coming together, we can make our world a better place to ride.
totally amazing,
Very beautifully made. I love it.
@dirtrider0919 Breath = 2.3 lbs of co2 per day per person. Car exhaust = 46.4 lbs per day per U.S. vehicle.

@jiggytree It’s a song by a band called Explosions in the Sky. The song is called “So Long, Lonesome” and is from their 2007 album, “All of a Sudden I Miss Everyone”. Get the whole album, they are fantastic!

Great Video, takes me on a ride to a better place in time…..
do what?
Yeah, and the seat of your car won’t do even that…
I want the audio off this video as an mp3 so I can easily listen to it everyday and so I can toss it on playlists.
That’s a great poem. Anyone know who wrote it?
We don’t “ride”, that’s what motor bikers do.
We cycle, pedal, crank. I crank hard.
29ér fixie all the way!
fixed gear all day
@samdon815 what a dick……
i love to ride its the best how ever witch way you ride free riding rules just ride and have fun respect to the real people
@samdon815 You’re old so I can see you’re not as interested in the alternatives as some of these young folks are. So you might miss out on the mayhem of Peak Oil (Demand outstrips supply) . Cheap energy is going the way of the Dodo unless you can knock out China and India (both emerged global economic players with growing interests in energy consumption/security). So unless there’s a miracle in development of replacement to the fossil fuels, you best get your fitness on. Punch on.
