@Sonikbloo thats pretty funny cuz your on a cag, which is a chinese bike.
thats cool! i wish i had a track near me
too bad its not a linear comparison, half the wight, twice as fast. i dont doubt any of those speeds are attainable, but at the racetrack the idea is to go fast around the whole track, and theres more to that than boasting about the top speed possible. personally i could care less how fast these go in a straight line, its the twisty part thats the most fun.
id get a “real” race bike before dropping half the money those italian bikes cost. go get a 250 to race and be happy, it’ll go 110mph!
@neo4251
I just shot the story for a TV show, I’m not a mini-moto expert. That’s how fast they told me they go. I have no reason to doubt them. These aren’t the Chinese POS’s you’re thinking of. These are Italian, high performance, racing pocket bikes. If a 50cc scooter (that weighs a lot more) can do 35mph, It’s not unreasonable to think that a 50cc mini-moto, that weighs 1/4 the weight of a scooter, and has twice as much power, can go nearly twice as fast as a scooter.
so then im correct in saying you have no clue how fast anyone was actually going. many riders have…..but none that told you that day huh? many companies sell these saying they can go 50+ but they generally can manage 30ish and thats quick comparing your speed on a gps. but 50 that would take some serious modification/upgrade or ruining the gearing on the track for straight line speed. and im not talking about the super pocket bikes.
The speed is based on what the other riders told me how fast these minimotos go. Many riders have put GPS devices on their bikes and have clocked them doing 50 to 60mph.
unless there are speedos or gps on the bikes, being there doesn’t mean much. maybe they do get going that fast, all i know is its not depicted well in the video.
I was there and shot much of that video….I can assure you they were all doing 40mph plus down the straights.
that guy was probably going 20mph, 40 my ass. these things are a blast but only when you really push them.
Are these bikes stok and are 110 cc super bikes allowed?
