@evilevo15 exactly man you know what you are talking about

While I totally agree that accidents happen and always will, I still can’t see how they allow 12 year olds to race motorcycles, and I know it makes me sound like an overprotective mother or something, but I LOVE motorcycles. I just can’t see the logic in it, its perfectly fine to race bikes over 100mph on a track, yet you have to be 16 to ride a 50CC moped?! or 18 to buy a beer? and a grown man of 35 can’t smoke a joint in his living room? The laws are ever proving to be fucked up!Either way RIP

@lmlmlml Wait a sec, in the comment which you first replied to, I just meant that the parents shouldn’t be pitied for their son’s death because they allowed him to go race, ie they accepted the responsibilities.

  4. lmlmlml says:

@maniac111111111 seriously you are a fucking absolute retard….i used to work for jonhsey quad racing in the uk….our youngest rider was 6 and had nothing but love and support from his parents. You really have no idea at all about racing or the family backing that comes with it. the children in the sport are never pushed to do things..they do what they want. if they dont wanna race they dont race!!
i suppose your gunna say now that lewis hamilton should never of raced karts.

  5. maniac111111111 says:

@lmlmlml I hope YOU never have any kids too. It’s the parent’s responsibility to care for his child until he’s old enough, because children aren’t fully developed physically and mentally, so they might make wrong decisions. In this case it’s pretty obvious that it was bad parenting of the child, if the kid got killed and the parents allowed him to race.

  6. lmlmlml says:

@maniac111111111 fair play m8…your a fucking disgrace and hope you never have kids of your own…you obviously understand absolutly nothing about motorcycle racing.
you think the boy was forced by his parents to race?
watch some videos of pete lenz away racing with his family….youll see everything was done on pete’s terms.
your an absolute fucking idiot that has no compassion at all. i feel very sorry for you.

he was doing what he loved. its like gymnastics. the hardest sport in the world, you risk your life everytime you do anything in gym, adn parents of gymnasts send them off to gym happily everyday because its what life is. its dangerous, but you do stuff anyways

    @toretto666ify Well said. I agree 110%.

ALL OF PEOPLE NEED TO STFU
ISN`T HIS PARENTS FAULTS. ITS AN ACCIDENT, ITS HAPPENS ALL THE TIME N WE NEVER KNOW WHEN THE ACCIDENT COMING.
ISN`T BECAUSE HES TO YOUNG EITHER, WELL HOW OLD HE NEED TO BE A RACER? ITS ABOUT HIS FUTURE, HES GONNA BE GOOD RIDER WHEN HE`S GROW UP, BUT EVERYTHING`S CHANCE BECAUSE AN ACCIDENT.

@padrak18 Reverse psychology is when you do something and hope to get the opposite reaction. So when you said, “That’s what I thought your reply would be. Thus following the same response as anyone that simply can’t answer. Oh well.” That is you actually saying, “If I say that he doesn’t have an answer, then he will answer my question.”

And since reverse psychology is a persuasion technique, then yes, I am using reverse psychology on people trying to get them to understand this sport.

  11. padrak18 says:

@MultiWes89 Reverse psychology ? That’s exactly what you have been doing here all along.

  12. MultiWes89 says:

@padrak18 Oh no, you’re not going to pull that reverse psychology on me. I have my opinion on that subject, but as I said, this is not the time or the place to talk about that. Go create a blog or something about it, and see what is said about it. Until then, keep it zipped (figuratively speaking).

  13. padrak18 says:

@MultiWes89 That’s what I thought your reply would be. Thus following the same response as anyone that simply can’t answer. Oh well .

  14. MultiWes89 says:

@padrak18 I refuse to answer your question on here. I don’t know if this is a personal issue of yours or what, but this is not the time or place to ask that.

As for your comment about him not having rational thought or skills. I guess him not having such is what made him a nine time national champion, nine time regional champion, and the points leader at the time of his death. I guess 19 year old Shoya Tomizawa didn’t possess rational thought and skills either.

  15. padrak18 says:

@MultiWes89 You know it breaks my heart to see that this kid died and I am not blameing his parents either. You are trying to answer my question with a question.
You said “He posessed the rational thought and skills required to do this.” Obviously not enough for him. He’s gone. I will ask again, if a 13 year old can concent to racing then do you feel they can consent to sex even with someone older than them ? I mean “They certainally posess rational, right ? No I am not a molester either.

  16. MultiWes89 says:

@padrak18 I’m just saying, what line are you talking about drawing? Drawing the line at racing? Drawing it at sports all together? Or drawing it at eating (since we can choke), riding/driving a car (since we can get into a wreck), or what? I’m not meaning to jump on anyone. I’m simply stating that people need to see both sides of the fence. The kids who race are not the normal 13, 14 year old that gets off of the school bus. They possess the rational thought and the skills required to do this.

  17. padrak18 says:

@MultiWes89 Once again dumb ass, read the whole post. I never said he didn’t have the right to make a judgement on bike racing. I agree that he should be able to as well.

  18. padrak18 says:

@MultiWes89 Of course that would mean with other guys as well. Even older guys as 13 is old enough to make decisions right ???? Or are you now going to make something up to suit your personal believes? Interesting question isn’t it ?

  19. MultiWes89 says:

@padrak18 And I just finished a report for a class that I am taking, and I did the report on Youth Motorsports compared to “Traditional” Sports. You would be surprised at the numbers that come up on severely or fatality injured kids in normal sports (30,000 +). And compared to motorsports, those numbers are out of this world. Youth motorsports as a whole has extremely low severely injured to fatality injured numbers. Even everyday activities for kids showed a huge injury and death rate.

  20. MultiWes89 says:

@padrak18 If you want to get into that topic, fine. In some states, they legally can. It is called the “Romeo and Juliet Laws.”

  21. padrak18 says:

@MultiWes89 Excuse me but I wasn’t cutting any one down for racing bikes. I think it’s cool myself. I was simply saying tha if a 13 year old is allowed to make a decision to do things that could kill him then the argument goes that at 13 kids should have the right to consent to having sex. Where do you draw the line ? Hmmm?

  22. MultiWes89 says:

@padrak18 Wow. That has absolutely nothing to do with this topic or my post. After viewing your profile, it looks as if you are about 14 or 15 yourself. How do you spend your time? Play Xbox? Trolling other pages? At least these kids have a dream and are doing what THEY love. That’s right; THE KIDS are following their dreams. The parents are there supporting them, not forcing them. At least there are some parents in this world that recognizes their children’s talents and supports their dreams.

  23. padrak18 says:

@MultiWes89 Ok then what you are saying is that a 13 year old kid should have the
legal ability to give sexual consent. I don’t think so.

  24. MultiWes89 says:

The facts are that Peter, as well as the other riders, are very well trained, and are very safety oriented. I have heard Child Development Specialist keep saying that, “Normal kids at this age aren’t fully developed and they don’t have the maturity level to make sound decisions.” But these talented young men and women are extremely mature for their age and they are fully aware of what is going on and the potential dangers that are associated with this wonderful sport.

  25. MultiWes89 says:

@ ALL OF THE NAY-SAYERS OUT THERE IN WEB LAND….You need to get your facts straight before you start criticizing others. Read the article that I wrote about Peter at flannelw.blogspot.com for my view on this topic (Since I can’t post it all here). These kids are very well trained and they have the best safety equipment available. More kids are fatally injured in everyday activities than in motorsports. Please try to see this topic from both sides of the fence.
