    who the hell stops at the top of the hill and shifts and adjusts the shift on the bike, and then proceeds down the hill???

    Hm, my chains used to tear apart back in my days when i used the wrong cranks yet. Its because of the chainline will become diagonal wich isnt recommendable.
    In my opinion this video should mention that frequent uphillers will benefit from a rapid rise rear derailleur and that on a 44/30 average bike the middle of the triple cranks provides best performance to start with since this is aimed at beginners and they lack yet the feeling to determine the ideal cranks.
