What is the best electric bike conversion kit?

I have a short commute and would like to convert. I do not need high speeds past ~15-20 mph, and a range of over 12 ish miles per charge. Something low-scale would be appropriate. Preferably sub-$500. Willing to DIY
Get a hub motor kit. Easy to install and you can get some serious power.

use your legs :/ its not cycling if you have a motor to get you up hills thats just lazy
