If it does’nt have a quick release on the rear wheel, then you can guess it’s not a quailty ride.
yea, carl, that’s definately a way to determin a good bike. Marin make some good bikes. Go ride them and pick one that feels right to you.
i used to sell them at rei, they’re not great. poor weld points and overall they’re really heavy. look at specialized or kona or giant for the same price range bike.
yeah, I looked into one of these at REI and the sales guy told me to go with a better brand. I agree about the weight, don’t really know about the weld points though. they are a bit heavy by comparison to other bikes with similar componentry and size. and as far as maintenance goes, if you buy from a reputiable bike shop, most will maintain the bike for free.
