What would be a good style bike to get a good cardio workout. I am looking at road bikes not mountain bikes.?

I can not stay in the lean forward position due to neck surgury

    You can get road bikes with a relaxed geometry that are more upright than the flat-out racing machines. The Trek Pilot and Giant OCR are a couple of product families that come to mind. Cannondale and Specialized also have products like that. If these bikes are still too “lean forward” for you, then take a look at some hybrid bikes which tend to be even more upright. You can get a good cardio workout regardless of the kind of bike you ride.

    One thing to learn how to do, regardless of which kind of bike you get, is to ride with your neck as straight as possible. Look up with your eyes to see as far as possible down the road in front of you. That’s why a lot of cycling glasses are so big and cover a lot more than just the eye itself.
