where I can find old models mountain bikes or outlets bike online?

I am trying to get into mountain biking but I cant afford an expensive bike so I am trying to find bikes that are older models probably 2 or 3 year old and I haven’t been able to find an online store that has older bikes.
Note: So far I like (Giant Roam 1) or (Trek 3700 Disc) but they are new models and they run for about $400-$600

First off, if you are looking at many major brands(trek, giant, specialized, etc) forget online. These brands are only sold through dealers. Some stores may have left over older models, but sizes will probably be limited to very large and very small frame sizes. If you are average height, your choices will be limited. Second hand is a possibility, there are deals out there if you take the time to do your homework, and the popular sizes will be most plentiful. The downside to second hand mountain bikes is that riding off road is hard on components, so many second hand bikes will need some work, and of course there are no warranties, so you have to inspect the bike you are buying very carefully. Even if a bike is new, but a previous year model, don’t expect huge discounts on price. Bikes are sold on fairly small profit margins, so a 20% discount means the store will be losing money
